By the grace of the almighty God, the 8th National Conference on Environment and Health, organized by the LivingScience Foundation and strategic Partners will be kicking off Tuesday 17th October. That’s barely eight weeks away!
Theme for the Conference is: RESPONDING TO EMERGING ENVIRONMENT-HEALTH HAZARDS IN NIGERIA.
The theme will be introduced by two eminent keynote speakers: Dr Sunday Ojewale and Prof Nasir Sambo.
Dr Sunday Ojewale is a veteran in Environment-Health issues in Nigeria. He was a foundation member of the Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria (EHORECON); and has just completed his tenure as Secretary-General of the West African Postgraduate College of Environmental-Health (WAPCEH). Over the years, he has served as visiting Lecturer at University of Ado-Ekiti, Lead City University, Ibadan, and Kwara State University Malete Ilorin. He currently serves as an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, University of Ibadan.
Prof Nasir Sambo is the distinguished Executive Secretary/CEO at the National Health Insurance Scheme. Before this appointment in 2019, he was the Provost, College of Medicine, Kaduna State University. At various times, he served as member of the Accreditation Team of the West African College of Physicians and also a Visiting Scholar at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom. Apart from being a physician, he holds a Masters degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy.

Prof Amos Fatokun: Professor of Pharmacology and Neuroscience, School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences, Liverpool John Mores University, Liverpool, UK.
